Homemade Baked Goods will also be available for purchase to include: Raspberry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake, Double Fudge Brownies, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Cake Pops, Old Fashioned Molasses Cookies, and more… bottled water will also be available for purchase.

Sorry- no public bathroom!

Spencer Hollow Road, right off Skitchewaug Trail- Look for the sign’s- will be hard to miss.

There’s been a request for a resource to do obituary searches. The Rutland Herald Obituaries includes obituaries for Springfield. The Rutland Herald website actually has a great search box for obits. You can search by a person’s name, keyword (e.g. Springfield) or if you click on the More Options link in their search box, you can search/filter by a variety of Vermont newspapers, get all Vermont obituaries and search by date range as well.

A VTel/NexLink truck was spotted around town installing new lines this week. Could this be the fiber for the long-awaited WOW system that promises blazing fast internet speeds?

From Vtel’s WOW web page:

“WOW will also extend Gigabit Internet of 1,000,000,000 bps over active fiber to every existing VTel customer in fourteen telephone exchanges in Vermont.”

“Coming soon we will also be offering wireless broadband access using 4G/LTE — at no additional cost!”
